Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em… Time for a modern take?
[singlepic=8,320,240,,right]Michael Crawford classic Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em… was a work of genius in its day, and yet no one seems to look to it for inspiration in modern comedy.
(Lee Evans had a series – So What Now? – a few years back in which his character wound up in bizarre, dangerous situations, and of course there’s Mr Bean, but I digress.)
The “unemployable cack-hand somehow getting job after job only to screw it up in mind-blowingly hilarious manner” concept is one that has been terribly underused on television since Frank Spencer blew up the wrong cooling tower.
