Ken Dodd on BBC 4

kendodd.jpgAs part of the Curse of Comedy season on BBC Four, British Comedy legend – and I use the word with precision – Ken Dodd discusses his 50-year career and the influences of his comedy style.

Premiering tonight at 11.30pm, the show features archive footage as well as material from the star’s latest tour.

Dodd was born in 1927, and has been in showbusiness since 1954.  With over 50 years of experience, and hailing from Knotty Ash in Liverpool, Dodd is perfectly placed to present The History of Liverpool Comedians at St Georges Hall in the city on 1st and 2nd April.

This is a rare opportunity to see  master at work - don’t miss it.
