The Invisibles - Will We See the Joke?

New BBC comedy drama The Invisibles stars Anthony Head and Warren Clarke as a pair of old ex criminal who come out of Spanish self-exile retirement to make a few more bob.

Also starring Dean Lennox Kelly and Jenny Agutter, the pair quickly find themselves drawn back into a life of crime, only to find that crime has moved on and they have got new things to learn.

“We are thrilled to have a new series from William Ivory on BBC One, which is both smart and very funny, and which has brought together a wonderful cast,” says Polly Hill, Commissioning Editor, BBC.

What do we say?

Well we could all do worse than giving this one a chance - it might be a “comedy drama” but with a good cast and writing pedigree it’ll be funnier than Gavin and effing Stacey - and it kicks off next Thursday May 1st, 9pm, BBC One
