What is the point of Alan Carr?
I don’t just don’t get this mincing prick.
He’s gay, right. Did you know that? Could you tell? He’s also OTT effete, doesn’t seem to understand how to do camp correctly, and is just generally annoying. Frankly he’s set the camp comedy genre back into the Victorian age. Innuendos are supposed to be subtle, Carr. That’s why they’re funny.
How on earth did the guy get on telly in the first place?
Alan Carr really does my head in - despite being reasonably successful, and having a couple of catchphrases, a rarity theses days - I really wish he would just retire and open a boutique or something, the lanky, buck-toothed gnosher (Not My Words).
Of course there is a plus side.
He’s less annoying than Justin Lee Collins.
