I like to write a bit about comedy, perhaps contribute to NewsBiscuit.com and perhaps I even fancy myself as a standup...

With
a fast-paced channel-hopping format (the pilot featured 42 sketches in
just 23 minutes), and a selection of recurring and fresh sketches each
week, Bishop has rewritten the sketch comedy genre.

Some of the regular sketches include:

• Video game adverts for the Fony Playbox,
advertising Wii-style games that are based on useless or unusual
activites, like anal sex and attracting a bartender’s attention.
• American remakes of British shows with stereotypical American twists. Such shows have included Last of the Summer Wine, Countdown, and Grange Hill.
• Movie trailers such as Dangerously High School Musical.
• R’n'B music videos which sees Bishop dress up as a stereotypical rapper
News 25, a news channel based on BBC News 24.
Nursery Crime Squad,
an apparent ITV drama about police arresting fairytale characters for
crimes such as blowing down the houses of three little pigs, and eating
Red Riding Hood.
The Charmer, another ITV drama which
sees Bishop play a “ladies man” who often tries to charm a lady, yet is
unable to such things as get some more wine or put a condom on, which
results in him shouting “MUM!” very loudly.
Free DVDs with The Daily Mail, such as ‘Classic Movie Twists Ruined’ and ‘Famous Last Words’.
• Adverts for perfumes by celebrities, like ‘Cheat’ by Ashley Cole and ‘Recession‘ by Gordon Brown.
The Psycological Profiler which
sees Bishop as a detective investigating crime scenes and acting out
the incident. This always leads to him injuring and supposedly raping
his collegue

It’s top qualtiy stuff and certainly shouldn’t be missed; catch it every Friday night, Channel 4 at 10pm
