This is the first golf “funnies” DVD to be released in over ten years, and this brand-new title co0mbines golf-themed comedy sketches and witty commentary from Dom Joly.
A keen amateur and writer of the spook book “Letters to my Golf Club” in 2007, Joly is in his element as he links the clips with a brash pimped-up pink golf buggy, a thick cigar and champagne, poking fun at traditionalist, old-timer golfers and basically anything that isn’t young and hip. Golfing etiquette literally gets thrown out of the buggy.
Running to 60 minutes, and while definitely funny, Dom Joly’s Golfing Greats, Gaffes and Goofs is not for everyone. You’ve got to be a Dom Joly fan, a golfing fan or both to get anything from this release.
That’s not a bad thing, of course, and at £19.99 its a perfect addition to any other Christmas golfing gifts you might be contemplating.
