Darts was a huge BBC and ITV Sports draw in the 1970s and 1980s, with the overweight, beer drinking sportsmen becoming household names.

As such this sketch from Not the Nine O’Clock News is slightly out of context in the current age, but nevertheless, we’ve all seen darts haven’t we?
