You may have seen the brief reuniting of Andrew Sachs and John Cleese on Prince Charles’s 60th birthday celebrations thing last night on ITV1 - or even at the venue itself - in aid of the Princes’ Trust.
It was a slightly odd moment, but not without a feeling of nostalgia, and was completely at home within John Cleese’s emceeing of the occasion as a cross between his Python linkman persona and Basil Fawlty.
Sachs brought a glass of water for Cleese, who was covered in bandages and wearing a sling. When asked what the 11th letter in the alphabet was, Sachs replied with his famous catchphrase from the BBC sitcom, ‘Que?’ The scene ended with Cleese chasing Sachs off the stage while waving his walking stick.

The evening also included a great turn by Bill Bailey and Michael McIntyre, as well as Robin Williams who made a superb duet later on with Bill Bailey. Rowan Atkinson also put in a notable appearance with one of his classic one-man show routines.
The evening ended with Eric Idle leading a rousing chorus of Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.
