Shooting Stars Christmas 2008

It’s been confirmed that Shooting Stars – the Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer-hosted celebrity gameshow is returning for a Christmas special and clip show special in the seasonal period.

Six years have passed since the shows last outing, with Vic and Bob’s own production company Pett taking charge of these new installments.

15 years after it first came to our screens with Ulrika Johnson and Mark Lamarr (later replaced by Wilf Self) as team captains and Matt Lucas as the big baby romper suit-wearing George Dawes (or sometimes his mother Marjorie Dawes…), Shooting Stars remains a memorable comedy experience and while it is very easy to say that it’s about time it was back, with little comparable on TV these days, the remains that it is about time it was back. There’s very little comparable on TV these days.
