Michael McIntyre - standup with a conscience

Smarmy posh-paws Michael McIntyre hasn’t always been a successful standup comedian - once upon a time he was heavily in debt.

So it was with a smile that I saw he had cancelled a gig - and lost out on £28K - when he discovered that  the 350-strong audience were all debt collectors from Kent-based Cabot Financial Limited.

McIntyre’s previous money troubles were revealed recently, with the comediaa revealing:

“Four years ago I was £40,000 in debt - credit cards, loans, all that, with no assets and often no way of actually meeting the rent.”

It’s good to know that (according to his spokesman):

“Michael was in debt himself and has a conscience, especially at this time of year.”

Proving that comedy truly is the new rock n roll!
