Alan Carr Battle

alancarr.jpgApparently - and this’ll tickle you - super-camp/annoying poof/funny diarrhea “comedian” Alan Carr is the subject of a battle between ITV and Channel 4.

Apparently his contract to work on Channel 4 is about to expire at the end of this year, and the Friday Night Project star is being wooed by ITV’s Peter Fincham.  But will he stay of will he go (and who cares?)?

One industry expert pointed out that Channel 4 has nurtured Carr - it gave him his own show, Alan Carr’s Celebrity Ding Dong - and it might prove too hard for ITV to prise him from his exclusive deal.

He said: “Carr is very talented and he can do mainstream ITV. But I suspect he might stay at Channel 4 for a while longer.”

The BBC are said to be interested in Carr too, although they are keen to point out that:

“We are not in a bidding war for Alan Carr.”

Sickeningly, one idiot critic stated that Alan Carr was”the spiritual son of Frankie Howerd, which is tantamount to declaring Michael Barrymore as the spiritual son of John Cleese.
